A kids food is a boon to prepare !
Pooris (Wheat flour):
****Procedure ******
Take wheat flour 1 cup , add hing, salt to taste, a little turmeric and less than a pinch of red chilly powder and knead dough.
When pressing , for a poori thing we have so much of benefits to make them eat easily than Chappathi or dosai , due to its trivial in size .
****How to make it Interesting ???*******
1. "Shapes" like triangle circle square can be made and interest can be created to eat
2. "Letters" can be carved and poori can be made.
3. "Big and small" can be taught easily than with dosai or Chappathi because of its highly bloating nature
4. "Stacking" can be done easily and counting can be done .
****Varieties list:****
And now to give variations,
1.Introduce **Ragi**, kambu or any whole grain “flour” in **1:½ ratio**( 1 wheat :½ ragi)
2. Knead poori dough with **spinach, carrot ,beet juices**
3. **Aloo pooris** are very yummy: mash boiled potatoes to find paste and add turmeric chilly powder jeera powder and mix well and add to kneading dough. Make pooris.
4. "Combo" of 1 and 2 mix and match pooris in a interesting way are too good .
**Example:** Ragi beetroot poori is excellent to give whole grain and vegetable in a single plate and can be made interesting when done as triangle and square !
