"Healthy" eating  may not be in place  as kids grow and grow, but the habit set in young age remains in , for them to continue as they grow and realise about it !!
#Maravallikizhangu,  one of the nature's best gift !
1. #Maravallikizhangu_Paratha
     Peel the skin and boil for 15 mins until it comes to mashable consistency . Heat oil, add mustard, split urad dhal ,jeera, hing and add onions , once turned translucent add mashed kizhangu . Gel onion and kizhangu well.
Add this to wheat flour and knead dough and make parathas.
2. #Maravallikizhangu_Patties
     Boil Maravallikizhangu to mashable consistency and mash well , add turmeric,chilly powder, hind and mix well, to it add any while grain flour like Raagi or kambu and make small patties and roast on hot tava .
3. #Maravallikizhangu_Stack
      Peel skin and boil just for 3 mins and cut as squares. Take a bowl , add hing, turmeric, chilly or sambar powder . And mix the cut pieces . Now roast the pieces on a pan with little oil both sides or grill em' .
Stack it on any edible usage stick and serve as tikki.
**Can be used to teach counting or maths to kids of very young age !
4. #Maravallikizhangu_Stew
    Boil maravallikizhangu for 3 mins and keep aside. Heat oil , add bay leaf, clove, star aniSe , jeera , fennel , green chilly, red chilly and roast well, to it add the boiled kizhangu.
Cook for 5 mins . Then add '#coconut_milk' (grind few cashews with coconut to enrich taste and flavour) . Boil for 5 mins . Add curry leaves and hing and turn off !
5. Other recipes known
     A. Puttu.
          Grate kizhangu and steam for 5 mins Once cooled mix with coconut and sugar , add a little cardamom powder too.
B. Chips
          On a chips grater, grate kizhangu and bake or fry !
    
C . Steam maravallikizhangu with salt and eat as such .
Note :
Instead of boiling , we can also steam .
If boiling, salt can be added accordingly, to the boiling water ! Salt can be added in any step as per need !
